RVA Software

RVA Software is a free, web-based astrology platform that works on any device and browser — no installation needed. It brings together Vedic, KP, and Western astrology in one place, letting astrologers generate natal, progression, and transit charts, analyze dashas, and score planetary strength all from a single screen.

Charts

Three chart panels are shown side by side — Natal, Progression, and Transit — so you can compare all three without switching screens.

  • Natal Chart — birth horoscope in North or South Indian kundali style
  • Progression Chart — Alan Leo secondary progressions; the software automatically advances the birth date by the person's age so no manual calculation is needed
  • Transit Chart — current or any date's planetary positions overlaid on the natal chart
  • Divisional Charts — D9 Navamsa, D10 Dashamsa, D16 Shodashamsa, and more switchable from the chart panel

Each chart panel has a hide/show toggle for individual planets and cusps, so you can declutter the wheel when focusing on specific factors.

Planet Capacity — Light, Performance & Resource

Planet Capacity is RVA's original three-dimensional planetary strength model. Every planet in the chart receives three separate scores:

  • Light (0–100) — how much illumination the planet carries, based on dignity (exaltation, own sign, debilitation), conjunctions, aspects, lordship associations, Vargottama status, Binna Pada, and more
  • Performance (0–60) — how effectively the planet acts in the chart, factoring in house placement, combustion, war, retrograde power, and five-fold strength
  • Resource (0–40) — what the planet commands and can deploy, reflecting its house rulership and association strength

A single Capacity score combines all three components, giving each planet one number that summarises its overall power in the horoscope. The Planet & House Analysis table shows all scores at a glance so you can immediately see which planets are strong, weak, or mixed.

Dasha Analysis

Vimshottari Dasha is displayed as a visual bar chart — each planet's Dasha period is shown as a proportional bar with the exact start and end dates, making it easy to see the entire life timeline at once. Four levels of detail are available: Dasha, Bhukti, Antara, and Sukshma.

Every planet also receives a Dasha Influencer score — a composite rating that shows how much weight a planet carries when it becomes active in the Dasha sequence. Planets that are strong in Light, Performance, and Resource naturally score higher as Influencers, turning the Dasha table into a strength-ranked guide to life periods.

Alan Leo Progression Timeline

The Progression section includes a dedicated Alan Leo Progression Graph — a time-series chart that plots progressed planets (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and outer planets) across a selectable span of 10, 20, 60, or all years. You can filter by individual planet to see exactly when a planet progresses through sign boundaries or makes key degree changes. Prev / Next navigation moves through years one at a time.

Ashtakavarga Transit Strength

The Ashtakavarga Transit Strength section generates a graph of transit bindus over a custom date range. View by Day, Week, or Month, choose any set of planets to include, and see at a glance which periods carry the highest transit strength. This turns Ashtakavarga — traditionally a static table — into a planning tool for timing events.

Panchang

An inline Panchang bar shows the five daily elements for the birth date and place immediately below the form:

  • Ascendant (Lagna) at birth moment
  • Nakshatra (birth star)
  • Tithi (lunar day)
  • Yoga
  • Karana
  • Sunrise, Sunset, Moonrise, and Moonset times

KP Astrology

Full KP analysis is built into the same screen. Sub-lords, significators, and the significator house/planet view are all available. The software supports all major KP ayanamsa variants:

  • Krishnamurti (KP Original)
  • KP New — NKPA (default)
  • KP Straight Line (KPSL)
  • KP Kullar (Khullar)

Ayanamsa Options

Switch ayanamsa at any time without re-entering birth data. Supported systems:

  • Lahiri
  • Raman
  • Krishnamurti (KP), KP New (NKPA), KP Straight Line, KP Kullar
  • Yukteshwar
  • Fagan / Bradley
  • True Chitrapaksha
  • True Revati
  • True Pushya

Western Astrology

Planet and house aspects are shown in a dedicated table — conjunctions (0°), sextiles (60°), squares (90°), trines (120°), and oppositions (180°). Placidus house division is used. DST (Daylight Saving Time) is adjusted automatically from the birthplace details, so no manual correction is needed.

Strongest Planet Finder

A standalone tool on the same platform identifies the most powerful planet in each zodiac sign using an 8-rule Dig Bala system, exaltation, star lord weights, and Vedic strength rules — useful for quickly spotting the dominant planetary energy in any sign.

Settings & Personalization

  • Dark and light themes — switch any time for comfortable night-time work
  • Multiple languages — planet names and chart labels in regional languages
  • North / South Indian kundali — toggle chart style without re-calculating
  • Default location — save your city so it pre-fills on every session
  • Login to save charts — store multiple birth profiles and reload them instantly
  • Print — print any chart directly from the browser
  • Custom coordinates — enter latitude, longitude, and timezone manually if your city is not found

Verify Birth Time

An integrated birth time verification tool helps confirm the accuracy of the recorded birth time before beginning analysis — useful when the recorded time may be approximate.
